Adam Baker

Adam Baker is the Director of the Security Operations Center (CESSOC) in BYU’s Office of IT. Before coming to BYU, Adam worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as the Program Manager for Information Security Risk. Prior to that, Adam had a 15-year career as a US Army Special Forces soldier, an intelligence analyst and instructor supporting special operations, and the cyber security manager for a large special operations unit. Adam received his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College, and a Master of Science in Information Security Engineering from the SANS Technology Institute. Adam also teaches courses in cyber security at BYU as an adjunct professor. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children, woodworking, and teaching good people and families how to defend themselves.
