Ben graduated from BYU with a BS in accounting. He later earned an MBA while working for the Eyring Research Institute. He passed the CPA exam in July 1981. Prior to coming to BYU, Ben was the controller for General Image Engineering, a local defense contractor. Ben came to BYU in 1999, shortly after the conversion to PeopleSoft. His first assignment was to help reconcile the new accounts payable system with the general ledger. He later became the plant fund accountant and last year took on the added responsibility of managing the Asset Management module in PeopleSoft.
