Brian Anderson is a Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy. Prior to his hire in 2015, he worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 6 years and as a visiting professor at BYU for 3 years. He specializes in acoustics research and specifically in a sound and vibration focusing technique called time reversal that has been funded by Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories. He got his PhD in Acoustics from Penn State. He enjoys biking and geocaching. He and his wife Angela are parents to 3 boys.
