As the Managing Director of BYU Police & BYU Security, Chris Autry supervises the BYU Police Chief, BYU Security employees, the police and security dispatch centers and associated security technology. He is a liaison across the university as safety plans for the campus community are developed.
Chris graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in recreation management and youth leadership, followed by a master’s degree from BYU’s Executive Masters of Public Administration program. Chris served 26 years in law enforcement and was the previous chief of the police department at BYU. He is a graduate of session 245 of the FBI National Academy and enjoys time with family and in the mountains and deserts of Utah.
