Jeff Hardy is a historian of Russia and Ukraine whose research interests center on prisons and concentration camps. He has written three books and several articles on the Soviet Gulag and is an affiliate faculty with European Studies and an Alcuin Fellow with the Honor's program.
Married with three children--two of them students at BYU—he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities in his free time including rock climbing, canyoneering, skiing, and bird watching. He also loves to travel and play pickleball.
