Lennard Bakker

Professor

Lennard Bakker has worked continuously at BYU since September 2002. Before that he had postdoctoral appointments at Franklin and Marshall College PA, BYU, University of Nevada Reno, and Simon Fraser University. He earned his Ph.D. at Queen’s University in Canada, and a MS and BS at the University of Victoria in Canada. He grew up in Ontario, Canada near Niagara Falls. His research interests are in Celestial Mechanics and dynamical systems. During his time at BYU, he served as the Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Mathematics for six years, and as the Math Lab Director for one year.
