Richard McClendon

Dr. Richard J. McClendon has been an Associate Director in the office of Institutional Assessment and Analysis at Brigham Young University since 2008. Prior to this position, he spent two years as the Research Director for the Economic Self-Reliance Center in the Marriott School of Management at BYU. He has also taught in the Department of Sociology at BYU and as an adjunct professor in the Department of Religious Education. Before coming to BYU, he spent several years teaching for the LDS Church Education System as a seminary and institute instructor. He received both his Ph.D. in sociology and his M.Ed. in educational leadership from Brigham Young University. He has worked as a research consultant and has conducted research in various areas of education, religion, family, and business.
